Réseau FADOQ has been fully dedicated to improving quality of life for people age 50 and over for more than half a century. It continues this tradition by reducing loneliness among seniors, promoting active aging, offering discounts, and exerting ever-increasing influence on decision makers.
FADOQ – Région des Laurentides was created on June 16, 1972, under the name “Le conseil de l’âge d’or, Région des Laurentides.” This year will mark its 45th anniversary.
Originally run by a four-member board, the regional network moved its headquarters to Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts in Mont-Tremblant in 2000 and expanded to a nine-member board.
Since that time, two members represent each of the sectors (Mille-Isles, Rivière-Nord, Trois-Vallées, and La Rouge – La Lièvre) and the chair represents all members in the region.
