Gisèle Tassé-Goodman was re-elected president for a second two-year term at the Réseau FADOQ Annual General Meeting (AGM) on June 16. The meeting ushered in a renewal, as the provincial board of directors now has six new faces.
This first virtual AGM for FADOQ, attended by over 100 people, proceeded smoothly.
Due to the pandemic, this AGM reviewed operations for both 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 . Accordingly, the President’s and Executive Director’s reports for these two years were adopted as well as the presentation of the financial statements as at March 31, 2020 and March 31, 2021.
Members of Réseau FADOQ’s board of directors for 2021-2022:
Gisèle Tassé-Goodman, président | Réjean Despins, 1st Vice-Chair (Centre-du-Québec) | Paul Legault, 2nd Vice-Chair (Estrie) | Guy Bonneau, Treasurer (Québec) | Odette Charbonneau, Secretary (Gaspésie Îles-de-la-Madeleine) | Jean-Louis Lavoie (Abitibi-Témiscamingue) | Roch Rousseau Jr (Bas-Saint-Laurent) | Gyslaine Côté-Bélanger (Chaudière-Appalaches) | Toussaint Richard (Côte-Nord) | Jocelyne Wiseman (Île de Montréal) | Robert Beauséjour (Lanaudière) | Diane Beaulieu-Desjardins (Laurentides) | Évelyne Garceau (Laval) | Yves Bouchard (Mauricie) | Francine Paquet (Outaouais) | André Beaumont (Richelieu-Yamaska) | Suzanne Loiselle (Rive-Sud-Suroît) | Marthe L’Espérance (Saguenay – Lac-Saint-Jean – Ungava).
The AGM was also an occasion to thank several Board members who had completed their terms. Rolande McCann-Lemire (Abitibi-Témiscamingue) and Micheline Chalifour (Laurentides) left the Board of Directors in 2019-2020. Several more Board members left at the end of 2020-2021: Gilles Noël (Bas-Saint-Laurent), Josette Dubé (Chaudière-Appalaches); Renaud Dignard (Côte-Nord); François Lapierre (Gaspésie Îles-de-la-Madeleine); Luce Gervais (Lanaudière); Dianne Jeannotte (Laval); Pauline LeBlanc (Outaouais); Jean-Louis Bergeron (Québec); Réal Déry (Richelieu-Yamaska); Denis Hébert (Richelieu-Yamaska) and Carmen Cardin (Rive-Sud-Suroît).
The AGM also paid tribute to Lyne Rémillard, Réseau FADOQ’s Assistant Executive Director, who was attending her last AGM after almost 30 years with the organization. Lyne Rémillard has been the editor-in-chief of Virage since the very first issue of the official FADOQ magazine in 1992.
