Leisure and events

The Réseau FADOQ, in collaboration with the FADOQ – Région de Québec et Chaudière-Appalaches and the City of Quebec, will organize the Canada 55+ Games in the summer of 2024.

This great active gathering will be held from August 27 to 30, 2024. Approximately 2,000 competitors from across the country are expected to attend this biennial event. These Games have been held since 1996 and this is the first time they will be held in Quebec.

The road to qualification

The qualification process to participate in the 55+ Canada Games is finally available!

Participants are only allowed to compete in one event and one age category, excluding the bonus event.

To take part at the bonus events, you must be registered in one of the official events offered at the 2024 Games.

Other eligibility requirements:

• Be 55 years of age or older as of December 31, 2024.
• Must be a FADOQ member.
• All participants must be residents of the province/territory they represent and must meet the provincial/territorial selection criteria.
• All participants must be Canadian citizens, or have landed immigrant status, at the time of their selection at the provincial/territorial level for the 55+ Canada Games.
• Participants are only allowed to compete in one event and one age category excluding the bonus event.
