THE PRINCIPLE OF DISCIPLINE
Each runner must run 1 km for which he has predicted the execution time. A team is made up of 4 people, including a captain. The captain records the line-up of walkers, the predicted execution time for each and provides the information to the official before the departure of the first walker on his team.
The goal is to complete the course in a time as close as possible to its prediction. The difference between the predicted time and the actual time for each walker is calculated.
The Marche prédiction (prediction walk) is not a fast run, nor is it a walk that would stress the participants. Walkers should not try to force their walking pace.
The winning team is the one that is closest to its prediction, after compiling the results of the 4 team members.
The competition will be held at the Gaspé Athletics Track, located at 85 Gaspé Boulevard.
Registration is $25 per participant, which includes a lunch box.
The winners of the tournament will have the chance to represent Gaspésie at the provincial final, which will be held in Sherbrooke in the fall.
