FADOQ is pleased to announce that the city of Saint‑Hyacinthe and FADOQ – Richelieu‑Yamaska Region will welcome the 33rd edition of the Provincial FADOQ Games, which will take place from September 22 to 24, 2026.
This annual competition brings together more than 1,000 participants from the 16 FADOQ regions of Quebec. It encourages people aged 50 and over to stay active and promotes sports and recreational activities as healthy lifestyle habits.
“The Provincial FADOQ Games are a flagship event for our organization. Whether for the competitive, participatory, festive, or community aspects, everyone who takes part finds something meaningful. Our Games show that there is no age limit for competing, surpassing oneself and, above all, having fun,” said Yves Bouchard, President of FADOQ.

This will be the first time in more than 25 years that the provincial finals of the FADOQ Games are held in Saint‑Hyacinthe, following the 1993 and 2000 editions.
“It is a great pleasure to welcome the 33rd edition of the Provincial FADOQ Games to our beautiful Richelieu‑Yamaska region. This unifying event highlights the vitality, commitment, and sportsmanship of participants from across Quebec. We are proud to host you and eager to share these special moments together,” said André Beaumont, President of FADOQ – Richelieu‑Yamaska Region.
To qualify for the Provincial Games, athletes must be FADOQ members and have taken part in their regional Games. These regional Games, held each year between March and June, bring together more than 9,000 competitors across Quebec, along with hundreds of volunteers.
Eleven different disciplines will be featured at the Provincial Games: beanbag baseball, billiards, running, darts, golf, five‑pin bowling, shuffleboard, pétanque, pétanque-atout, candlepin bowling, and pickleball. Last year in Laval, the provincial finals brought together more than 1,200 competitors—a level of participation FADOQ hopes to surpass in Saint‑Hyacinthe next fall.
The Provincial FADOQ Games also generate significant economic benefits for the host region. In addition to accommodations and meals, participants visit local businesses and tourist attractions.
Alongside the competitions, the Games also include an opening ceremony and a gala evening, both of which celebrate the athletes’ commitment, highlight sportsmanship, and offer a festive moment to share.
