Every fall, respiratory viruses resurface. As COVID-19 and the flu continue to cause serious complications for many people, the importance of protecting yourself has never been clearer.
Vaccination remains the most effective way to reduce the risks associated with these viruses.
Groups eligible for free vaccination:
As part of this campaign, vaccination is offered directly in care facilities such as long-term care centres (CHSLDs), seniors’ homes (MDAs), and private seniors’ residences (RPAs).
The general public can book an appointment on Clic Santé to get vaccinated at a local service point (PSL), a CLSC, or a community pharmacy. Appointments can also be made by phone by calling 1-877-644-4545.
During your appointment, don’t hesitate to speak with the healthcare professional on site—other vaccines may be recommended depending on your situation.
Additionally, adopting good habits, such as washing your hands regularly, also helps prevent the spread of respiratory viruses.
