La Sûreté du Québec observe présentement une recrudescence d’un type de fraude qui cible les personnes aînées.
Les fraudeurs réussissent sous divers prétextes à obtenir leurs cartes de crédit ou de débit, ainsi que les renseignements associés à celles-ci (NIP ou mots de passe). Le stratagème du faux conseiller est particulièrement observé.
Notez qu’en aucun moment, les institutions financières ou les agences gouvernementales n’agissent de cette manière.
